  • Rui Wang received his B.S. degree from the National University of Defense Technology (NUDT), P.R. China, in 2008, and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Sheffield, U.K in 2013. Currently, he is an Associate professor with the National University of Defense Technology. His current research interest includes evolutionary computation, multiobjective optimization and the development of algorithms applicable in practice. He has authored more than 40 referred papers including those published in IEEE Transactions on Evolutionary Computation, IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, Information Sciences. .
  • Dr. Wang serves as an Associate Editors of the IEEE Trans. on Evolutionary Computation,Swarm and Evolutionary Computation and International Journal of Automation and Control,guest editors of SCI journals, i.e., Information Sciences, Swarm and Evolutionary Computation, and a regular reviewer of more than 20 journals. He is also the co-organizer of a number of special sessions with respect to evolutionary multi-objective optimization at IEEE WCCI, SSCI conferences. He is the recipients of The Operational Research Society Ph.D. Prize in 2014, of the Funds for Distinguished Young Scientists from the Natural Science Foundation of Hunan province at 2016, of the Wu Wen-Jun Artificial Intelligence Outstanding Young Scholar at 2017, of the National Science Fund for Outstanding Young Scholars at 2021. .
  • 王锐,省杰青、国家优青,国防科技大学系统工程学院装备管理系副主任,多能源系统智慧互联技术省重点实验室副主任,湖南省系统仿真学会(轮值)理事长、中国仿真学会智能仿真优化与调度专委会秘书长。近五年,主要从事复杂系统智能优化方法及应用研究,以第一(通信)作者发表高水平论文近50篇,累计引用6800余次,担任IEEE Trans. Evol. Comput.(IF=16.497)、 Expert Syst. Appl.(IF:8.665)、 Swarm Evol. Comput.(IF:10.267)等期刊副主编,自动化学报(英文版)、系统仿真学报青年编委。曾获教育部自然科学二等奖(排名1),吴文俊人工智能自然科学二等奖(排名1)、中国仿真学会科学技术一等奖(排名1),首届吴文俊人工智能优秀青年奖、省青年科技奖,入选某高层次科技创新人才工程,荣立三等功1次。

    • Congrats!!! our paper "Rui Wang, Guozheng Li, Mengjun Ming, Guohua Wu, Ling Wang, An efficient multi-objective model and algorithm for sizing a stand-alone hybrid renewable energy system" is accepted by the journal Energy (IF = 4.520, SCI 1区). The paper provides an effective model and algorihtm for the multi-objective optimal design of hybrid renewable energy systems

The paper discusses the use of localized weighted sum method for many-objective optimization, simple yet very efficient
    • Rui Wang is awarded runner-up for the Operation Research (OR) Society's 2014 Doctoral Award . The prize he received was for the ‘Most Distinguished Body of Research leading to the Award of a Doctorate in the field of O.R.’. This is an annual prize, with the award being made at the OR Society’s Blackett Lecture in November. Rui won his runner-up prize of ?500 for his thesis 'Preference-inspired Co-evolutionary Algorithms', for which he was awarded a PhD in 2014.

    • Congrats!!! our paper "Rui Wang, Qingfu Zhang and Tao Zhang, Decomposition based algorithms using Pareto adaptive scalarizing methods" is accepted at IEEE Transcations on Evolutionary Computation (TEVC). The paper describes how a good sub-problem can be constructed. That is, how to appropriately select the scalarizing functions
